Babies at 30 weeks

Whoa!  30 weeks!?  Already?  I can't believe that these little ones will be born NEXT MONTH!  Awesome!

This week the babies weigh about the same as a head of cabbage (actually, we know that Macy & MJ weigh a little more!)

Here is what babycenter.com has to say...

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds- like a head of cabbage (Macy weighed 3lbs 3oz last week and MJ weighed 3lbs 4oz). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

I am doing ok right now.  Pregnancy-wise everything is great.  I have a bit of a cold right now but hopefully that will get better in the next day or so.  The carpal tunnel is still giving me problems and I had an appointment today to get injections for the pain.  However, the doctor just ended up giving me bigger, sturdier wrist braces to wear 24 hrs/day on each hand.  They are big and bulky and the kids say I look like a ninja.  Tony says it looks like I am going bowling.  Oh boy!  I have another appointment tomorrow for our first NST (non-stress test).  I will have one of those every week until the babies are born.

Not much else to report.  I have gained no weight this week for a total of 21 lbs still.  My belly is starting to "stick out" more according to my kids and Bae said I remind her of a train!  LOL.  Starting to get a few (tiny) stretch marks and I am bracing myself for just how many I may end up with.  :)

That's all folks!
