This is what babycenter.com has to say...
By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.
I have been experiencing TONS of movements. Literally all day one or both of the babies is moving. I have some movements happening at different parts of my upper abdomen now, and am wondering if this is an indication that maybe MJ has turned head down. I am anxious for next week's u/s to see if Macy is still positioned well and if MJ is also on his way. If they are both head down, here is a good idea of what they may look like inside the womb...
I.Am.Getting.Bigger! I have officially started getting the stretch marks to prove it too! I have gained 2 pounds this week for a total of 24 lbs. I am really proud of how nice and steady I have been gaining weight. I have to prepare myself, however, for a large increase here towards the end. The babies are going to be gaining so much weight from here on out and I need to remember that that is a good thing!
My carpal tunnel is still just awful. I am supposed to make another appointment with the physical medicine doctor to go get that steroid injection, but there just aren't enough days in a week! I am going to try and do that very soon.
At my last NST last week there was a LOT of activity going on. The babies were moving so incredibly much that I did have a contraction or 2 register on the print out (still Braxton Hicks). Just to be extra cautious my OB wanted to check just to make sure I wasn't starting to dilate or anything. After the exam she said everything was perfect and there are definitely no signs of my cervix dilating. WooHoo!
I did ask my doctor at what point if I go into labor will they not attempt to stop it. She said 34 weeks. At anytime before 34 weeks if I go into labor, they will give me meds to try and stop it, but after 34 weeks, we would be a "go". That's just 2 weeks from now! Holy moly! I will be packing my bag this week so that I am ready..... just in case.
I have another NST tomorrow, then a regular check up and u/s next week (the 25th). Hoping everything is still perfect!
(Will post 32 week belly pic tomorrow)
