Three weeks ago, at 28 weeks, I had a good friend of mine take maternity pictures of me. I wanted something special to give to Mark & Misty to remember this joyous time. I cannot imagine how hard it must be to not be able to experience your child/ren growing inside of you, and I truly try my best to help Misty experience this pregnancy as much as if it were her own. I love telling her about how the babies are moving and when they have the hiccups and how many times they wake me up at night. I have loved the few times that she has actually gotten to feel her babies move whenever she comes to visit. My thought behind this photoshoot was to focus mainly on the baby belly and not on me. Most pictures do not contain my face for that reason. I wanted her to get another experience of this pregnancy, just between her and her babies.
I sent Misty the book as a surprise and I got the most wonderful phone call last night. Misty called me crying beautiful tears and I know that she truly LOVES the book. She called it "magical" and right then I knew how much it means to her.
