Here goes nothin'!

So, this is going to be an all new adventure for me altogether.  I am (attempting) to create this blog for my family, friends, and loved ones to be able to follow along during my surrogacy journeys.

**Disclaimer:  This blog may be very boring to some, and by no means is meant for any form of entertainment!  I am a (thankfully) boring person.  LOL!  Also, I haven't found yet if this place has spell check, so please disregard any misspellings!

Ok, back to topic.  So, often I have many people ask about my surro journeys and thought that this *might* be an easy way to keep everyone updated and "in the know."  Please bear with me while I navigate the new-to-me world of blogging.  I'm sure my thoughts will be all over the place, and eventually I hope to go back and catch everyone up on my 2 previous journeys.  I am currently on Journey #3.  And it is about to be in full swing....I start my injectable meds on Monday!!!  I can't wait....that's right...I said it....I can't wait to start stabbing myself with needles!!!  Weird, you say???  Well, it is all for a wonderful, beautilful, exciting, worthy cause.  I can't wait to bring another (non-biological) child into the world and into the parents' waiting arms!  Oooo, I get chills just thinking about it!

Feel free to add comments or ask questions.  There is so much information spewing out of my brain right now I can't even type it out fast enough.  There are alot of acronyms I will be using through this process and sometimes I forget that others have no idea what I am talking about.  For instance, you may see the letters ER, and what immediately pops into your head?  I'm going to venture a guess and say it brings to mind endless torture as you sit and wait alllll night loooooong in a yucky waiting area in the Emergency Room.  Right?  Probably so.  But me?  Nope!  I immediatley think of Egg Retrieval.  What's that, you say?  Yep....egg retrieval, the process of retrieving eggs from the mother-to-be, to be fertilized in the lab, to create the embryos, to be transferred in the procedure room, to the awaiting stork!  Yup, that's me!  And, what about:  IM...ahhhh, Instant Message, maybe?  Nope, wrong again.  That would be the acronym for the Intended Mother.  Yep, the one who will soon (all fingers crossed) be holding a brand new healthy baby (or two!).  Those are just 2 of the billions of acronyms you will reading on here.  My goal is to compile a list and learn how to put in on the main page here.  Yep...still learning how this blogging thing works. So, hopefully when I say things like this...."My IM is going in tomorrow for her ER and we will be having the ET 5 days later, and hopefully a BFP 5dp5dt"......You will maybe have a clue what I am talking about!  For now, I'll just leave you all to ponder........
