Babies at 25 weeks

MJ and Macy are about the same weight as a rutabaga this week (what the heck is a rutabaga?)

Here is what babycenter.com has to say about this week...

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture

Things are still going well around here.  The babies and I are growing, growing!  I have gained a few pounds this week, for a total of 15 lbs.

So, Misty's baby shower was this past weekend and she was gracious enough to invite me to come.  It was so much fun.  I can't believe how much these babies are loved!  Mark, Misty, Macy, and MJ received lots of goodies.  Mark and Misty are well on their way to being ready when the 2 little M&Ms make their appearance.  (I will post pictures as soon as Misty emails me any pictures that she wants me to add).  We all had a lovely time.

Well, right now you wouldn't believe what Macy and MJ are up to.  They are listening to mommy and daddy read stories to them.  Yep.  Misty emailed me some recordings of her and Mark reading and talking to the babies.  I also got recordings of Kain barking and Misty's grandmother singing lullabies.  I put all these recordings into one playlist and, using my computer and headphones, the babies are now becoming familiarized with their families' voices.  It is actually quite amazing how active these two become when they are listening to the recordings.  It's like I have a sock hop going on in my belly.  They LOVE it!

Well, that's really about it.  Not much else to report.  I have my next check up next week and will update then.  I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving!

Love from me and the minis.
