Babies at 22 weeks

Hello all.  :)  Another week has come and gone and the babies are growing so quickly.   The babies are now the length of  a spaghetti squash, approximately 11 inches.

Here is what babycenter.com has to say:

At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

I had an appointment yesterday and everything was perfect!

Macy weighs about 1 lb, 1 oz and is in the 50th percentile.  Her heart rate was 138.

MJ weighs about 1 lb, 2 oz and is in the 68th percentile.  His heart rate was 136.

My weight gain is right at 10 pounds and my blood pressure was great.  I am 22 weeks and my belly is measuring 27 weeks... right on target for twins.  And that is pretty much it...this was a perfectly "boring" routine appointment which is exactly what you want!  Here is this week's belly picture:

We were also able to get a 3D picture of each of the babies' faces.  They aren't the greatest quality since both babies had their faces buried.  They were either being a little camera shy or just trying to sleep!

Here is Macy:

 Here is MJ:

Later, after I sent the pictures of the babies to Mark and Misty, I get 2 pictures emailed to me.  Here is what we came up with....

I laughed for 30 minutes straight after they sent me these pictures.  So, what do you all think???  Does Macy look like Misty and does MJ look like Mark?  I say spittin' images!!!  LOL!

Next appointment is Dec 7.  Until next time!  :)
