Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Wow...so much news to share!  Here's the scoop....


Obviously, we have kept it all pretty low key this time around.  It's kind of hard to explain why.  It probably has a lot to do with keeping ourselves guarded.  It is so hard putting all your hopes and dreams out in the universe for all to see and then have everything come crashing down on you.  And as I write this, I am just now realizing all my feelings.  It's funny how I even keep my feelings and thoughts hidden from myself.  But, alas...

Anyway....Misty and I (and, of course, the rest of the crew) could not be more thrilled to jump back in line, weave around the metal bars, wait our turn, climb in the car, strap on the seat belt, get harnessed in, and start climbing that first big hill of this GIANT roller coaster called Surrogacy.  It's sure to be bumpy at times, smooth at others, windy, curvy, fast and even slow.  It will have big, slow, tedious climbs, adrenaline-pumping terrifying drops, breathtaking moments when you can't breathe,  heart-stopping twists and turns, and thrilling moments that you wish would never end.  And, We. Can't. Wait.

So, here is our update...

If you all recall, we were at this point in our journey last time when things started getting bumpy.  If you need a refresher, click here.  Well, Misty went in bright and early this morning for her first u/s and b/w for this cycle.  We were encouraging each other, cheering each other on, and keeping our heads held high.  And, it paid off!  Misty had NO CYSTS!  Did you all read that right?  NO CYSTS!  Everything was absolutely perfect.  They said her estrogen needed to be below 80 and hers was 26!  And, for the icing on the cake...Misty currently has 22 follicles growing.  Wow.  I honestly cannot believe we are already here again.  Here is what the next couple of weeks will look like:

June 10: My u/s & b/w (in Irving)
June 14: My u/s & b/w (in Arlington), and Misty's u/s & b/w
June 16: Misty's Birthday and u/s & b/w
June 19-21: Misty's ER
June 21: Mark's Birthday
June 22-26: Embryo Transfer
June 26: My Birthday
June 27: Mine and Tony's Anniversary
July ??:  BETA


Current Pharmacology Update:

ME:
BCPs- once daily
Doxycycline- 2x/day for 10 days
Lupron injection- once daily
Estrace- once daily
Aspirin- once daily
Vivelle patches- three patches, changed every other day
Prenatal vitamin- once daily


MISTY:
BCPs- once daily
Lupron injection- once daily
Lovenox injections- once daily
Dexamethasone- once daily
