Five Day Transfer

Hello all.  Unfortunately, I have to keep this very short and sweet.  We are about to head out the door for more softball and baseball (as usual!).

So, we did, indeed, end up having a 5dt on Sunday, June 26th.  We arrived at the clinic at 7:30 am  ready to go!  Mark, Baelyn, Brayson, and Tony, all at some point fell asleep in the waiting area (well, Brayson just rested).

Anyway, this time Mark and Misty both were able to go into the procedure room with me.  Before transfer, though, we received some disheartening news... the 2 embies we would be transferring were not of the greatest quality.  With the grade of 4AA being the best possible grade, we would be transferring and 3BB and a 1.  We were all a little bummed...to say the least.  So, we waited about another half hour before we were finally ready to transfer to the embabies.  Right when the RE asked for the embryos from the embryologist, she gave him and update on their grades...they had improved and were now graded a 4BB and a 3BB!  We were all so excited.

So, we transfer the "little embies that could" and left the clinic.  I went back to the hotel with my family and slept for the next 6 or so hours...Valium kicks my butt!

Later that evening, we met M&M at Outback to have dinner and celebrate my birthday!  It was so good.  We then went next door to Marble Slab for some desert.  We were stuffed and ready to sleep off all that food.

The next day Misty brought be some lunch and Tony and the kids went to the museum.  I read my true crime novel and laid in bed allll day!  The next morning, Misty met us again at the hotel and visited for just a little while before we checked out to head home.

And, here I am.  Growing with anticipation of our beta.  Sadly, again, M&M had no embryos that made it to the freeze stage.  So this is IT... the whole enchilada.  We are depending on this one cycle to make Mark and Misty the parents that they so deserve to be.  I pray multiple times a day that these little babies are snuggling in for the long haul.  For now, we just wait and pray.

Beta will be July 11.

FINGERS CROSSED!

(I will post pictures of the embryos as soon as I can)
