All 6 of us got up at the crack of dawn (actually when I got up at 5:45 it was still pitch dark!) and got all decked out in our transfer garb. We all put on out lucky shirts, buttons, bracelets, socks, etc. I started chugging my gatorade (I have to arrive with a full bladder for the transfer), and we hit the road at 7:15 to make the 30 minute drive to the clinic.

After a small snafu with the security and having to wait for clearance to use the elevator, we were finally on the 23rd floor. Then after a very quiet, 15 minute wait, and my VERY, VERY full bladder, we were finally called to the desk to get the update on the 7 little embryos. We had mentally prepared ourselves for the possibility of fewer embryos by today. It is very common to lose a percentage of embies in this process. So, out of the 7, Misty was praying to have at least 5 embies still growing. We were also hoping that we would be told that the embryos looked very healthy and that we would not be transferring until Tuesday.
| Will it be today?..... |
So, Misty and I were called up by the nurse. And.....
All 7 embryos are still growing and look GREAT! Out of the 7 of them, 2 are behind by just a little, but still have the potential to catch up. The breakdown is .....
One: 8-cell
Three: 7-cell
One: 6-cell
Two: 4-cell
The embryos will grow for the next 2 days, and then will be transferred into their new, cozy home!
So, after we were sent away from the clinic, and since I was not pregnant, we decided to hit the Houston Rodeo and carnival. First, we needed to head back to the house and change out of our transfer garb. We came home, changed, regrouped, and then headed out to the carnival. Mark was not feeling well at all and ended up having to stay back.
We had sooooo much fun at the carnival....

Since tomorrow is Monday, Mark & Misty have to work. Tony, the kids, and I will be going to Galveston to spend the day at Moody Gardens. We will come back and spend the night with M&M again and Mark is going to make us some fajitas! YUM! Then, the next day is Transfer Day. Please keep us and the embies in your thoughts and prayers. I will update as soon as possible. :)
Ta Ta for now!
