Ok, so are you ready for the "Fertilization Report"? Here are the numbers:
14 eggs retrieved
8 mature eggs able to be fertilized
7 embryos!
YAY! Mark and Misty have 7 mini M&Ms growing. The embryos are extremely fragile...I mean extremely, as in no perfumes, strong scents, cells phones, etc are allowed anywhere near them during transfer.... So, they will not be disturbed or checked on again until early Sunday morning. We are all to arrive at Houston IVF at 8 AM Sunday for when they take a peak at the embabies. At that time, if it looks like they need to be transferred, we will transfer right away (3dt). If not, and they are still growing well, we will be sent away and come back two days later for transfer (5dt).
Gosh, just think about it. M&M are about to be expecting. I am about to be pregnant. This is happening. It is so surreal. There are little embryos growing and dividing cells, and becoming stronger and stronger each day...each minute! Crazy to think that one or 2 of those embryos will someday be a beautiful, bouncy baby(ies) in 8 1/2 months!
I will leave you all to ponder that!
